We cordially invite you to attend the New Developments in Criminal Justice International Conference, to be held in Yangzhou City in the Jiangsu province of China on July 28 – 30, 2004.

This exciting joint conference in Criminal Justice is the first of its kind for both the United States and the People's Republic of China.  It is sponsored by China's Institute of Crime Prevention and by the University of Maryland, hosted by the Yangzhou City government, and organized by the University of Maryland's Master's Degree Program in China.  Many governmental agencies in China are providing support to the conference.

This conference will help to further research, teaching, and practical training on an international level through the collaboration between the United States, China, and other countries in attendance.  Speakers are key leaders and researchers in the Criminal Justice field.  Together, they will discuss the newest technologies, exchange innovative ideas, discuss prospects for future cooperation, and pave the way for further international partnerships.

The 2004 New Developments in Criminal Justice International Conference is projected to be a great success for all involved parties.  We look forward to seeing you there.
